Pat's Story
After graduation in 77, I attended Rutgers College and graduated in 1881 with a BA in English and a teaching certification. I began my career at Franklin HS in '81 and have been teaching almost non-stop ever since. I was the recipient of two grants from the NEA. One to study with Shakespeare and Company in Lennox, MA and the other to attend University of Kansas. I received an M.Ed. in 1991 from the Rutgers GSE and then quit teaching to pursue acting professionally. I landed the role of Yenta in the national tour of Fiddler on the Roof, moved to NYC and taught middle school in the South Bronx.

ventually I migrated back to NJ and began teaching first Public Speaking and later Language Arts at Marlboro Memorial Middle School. I married my husband Paul in the year 2000 and gave birth to a son named Liam in 2002.
Life is busy. I am a Part-Time Lecturer at Rutgers and still doing theater and singing as I find the time. I intend to get a Ph. D. but that will have to wait until Liam is ready for college and out of the house (when I am 60 or thereabouts) - there is only so much that a person can do at one time!
