Pat's Story

Life I live in the beautiful foothills of the Cumberland Plateau in East TN. I have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with all of them. They are the sunshine in my life along with my husband of 25 years. I left Smith Station, because Coach Britton found out I lived in Phenx City and made me transfer, I hated it I dropped out the following year and married. I have always claimed Smiths Station as my High School and The class of 1969 as my class. I hope that you don't mind. My life had some serious twists and turns, during the 15 years after I left Smiths Station but I survived and became a better person. I am proud of the person I have become. I married and had 4 children was kicked around until I started kicking back, and decided that there had to be a better life than this. Packed up and left with 4 kids and 2 dogs. cense and a beat up ole car. God had a plan that could not believe until I looked back at the story a few years later. I have truely been blessed and continue to recieve blessings daily from him. I have a great life and no abuse, a loving husband who supports almost anything that I want to do, spoils me and lets me be myself. I have recently started substitute teaching and love the children, I prefer the younger ones K-6 and enjoy the freedom of not having to work every day. No weekends or evenings. This is a realization of another dream I thought was out of reach, I know that this is not the same as teaching, but it fills another spot doing something for someone else and being able to make a difference in a Childs life is what I feel is important.
