Patricia's Story
I graduated from Patapsco High School in 1973 and continued working full time at Lindy's Pharmacy in Dundalk. Later I worked as a secretary at BWI Airport, then after being laid off, I worked for Hutzler's Eastpoint until joining the US Air Force in 1977. I was an aircraft maintenance specialist and served in a number of assignments both in the US and overseas. I left the Air Force as a Technical Sergeant in 1989 and worked for Federal Armored Express (now Dunbar) as an armored car guard/driver until 1990. I went to work for G. the US Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, MD, where I still work. I am an engraver and a tools and parts attendant in a machine shop. I bought a townhouse in Dundalk 20 years ago and it is almost paid off! Now I have enough time with Uncle Sam to retire, but I'm not ready to leave yet. In 1998 I received my Associate of Arts degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology from Dundalk Community College and graduated Phi Theta Kappa. I am active in my church (Trinity Assembly of God in Lutherville) and was a member of the Trinity Choir for 15 years. God has blessed me abundantly throughout my life and I am very grateful to Him!
