Patricia's Story
Hmmm, where do I begin...well, after my parents moved us to Edmonton in 1977 I started grade 9 at St Thomas More school there and no one took school seriously so I was majorly disappointed. Moved back to Invermere briefly and stayed with my best friend Rhonda Tritscher and her family for a bit, but missed my folks too much and gave in to the Edmonton scene.
Started high school at St. Francis Xavier, but met my first husband when I was 17 and in grade 11 and ended up dropping out. I have since got my diploma, but never persued my dream of becoming a vet...something I attribute to my being dragged away from paradise and my honor role standings.
Married in 1983 and had 2 children, Kurt and Julie, who are 21 and 22 now.
Married again in 1997 and had 3 more children, C.J., Jimmy and Kitty, now 11, 10 and 7.
My first job was slinging burgers, then a cashier, then the government, then the phone company, then a publishing company, then an insurance company...then I met the man of my dreams, husband number 3 in February of 2006...He also has five kids, so we have 10 children all together, 6 of them still living at home.
So after 29 years in Edmonton I moved to Wandering River, which is about a 2.5 hr drive north of Edmonton on the way to Fort McMurray. We live on a hobby farm...check it out if you want at hancocksranch.com
Anything you'd like to know, just ask, I'm an open book! lol
My memories of schoo...Expand for more
l are generally pretty good...when you're a fat kid it's tough, but that becomes less important as you grow older and wiser. I got to be over 300 lbs, but once I got happy, I lost a lot of weight and am now 116 lbs and 5'4".
I have very good memories of Invermere and was back there to visit just two weeks ago, man, it's changed, but Toby's theatre hasn't! lol It was wonderful to visit, only wish I had run into someone from my past, that is always fun. Went in a glider plane over the mountains (Did they shrink or what?!...seemed bigger when I was a kid!) and went to visit our old family home....my husband said I should knock on the door and go inside for a look, but I prefer to remember it how it was after my dad had it built. The old shack is still out back though and the neighbors house, that I thought was a mansion when I was a kid, well, lol, boy was I deranged! Still think it's paradise there...wondering what happened to all the kids I used to know, what has become of them and their lives....Interesting stuff yes?! Well, if you've managed to read this far, kudos, I know it was a long story! ha ha
Hope to hear from anyone who recalls me, I'm always amazed when someone does! Smiles to the nice people from my past and hopefully the rest have learned something over the years. Charma is a wonderful teacher. Do I sound a bit synacle?! lol, maybe, but I'm happy now for sure.
Bye for now all! = )
