Patricia's Story

Life The year of the dragon has brought big changes into my life. My husband of 26 years suddenly decided one day that instead of a wife he prefered to have a girlfriend. Mid-life demons, I guess. I'm working hard to put my life back together, but it's a tough job. Stacey is working in Edmonton as a Branch manager at an Instaloans. She's thinking about going back to school to finish her degree. She has a great room-mate and is enjoying the single life right now. Jeff is working in the Thrifty's warehouse - midnight shift. He gets along well with his co-workers who seem to have as warped senses of humour as he does. Good times! I'm still working full time at Marks Work Wearhouse in Langford as part of the management team - just enough power to get into more trouble than the other people on the floor but not enough to make any real decisions! That's all right - there's not as much stress to take home with you that way! The people I work with are great, and if anyone's interested, MMW is a great compa...Expand for more
ny to work for - I transferred from the North Bay store to the Langford store - both are awesome! School I really enjoyed High School - It may be cliche to say it but it was most likely the best fun that I had in my life so far (of course the kids are getting older now so I don't have to set as high an example any more!). It was definitely a great escape from a highly stressful homelife. I should have spent more time hitting the books and then I could have been the honor student that my parents knew that I could have been instead of the 79% wanna be - but then I might have missed out on the week in Ottawa at the Terry Fox Youth Centre or the weekend with the Peer Support Group. Or the Toga Party with the Rotary Club Leadership Convention in Banff. I wouldn't have wanted that! And you all thought that I was just the boring music student! Most of you had no idea what went on in the band room outside of class time. . . we boring music students all had you fooled. We just wanted to keep Mr Isenor to ourselves.
