Patricia's Story
School and work have kept my family and I on the move. I went to Boston, MA in 1989 for graduate school at Tufts University. I met my husband, a fellow University of Rochester alumni while there and got married in 1992. I received my doctorate in Applied Child Development in 1997, the day before my second son was born. After many years of working part-time as a college professor and researcher I decided to look for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment. A new job as a full-time professor at Towson University brought my husband, three children and I to Baltimore, MD where we have been living since 2007. Time has sure flown - my oldest son is starting high school himself this fall. How did we get so old so fast?
