Patricia's Story
Life
In 1998 I moved to Springfield, MO. I met my husband in 1999. That same year, we got married, honeymooned in Hawaii, and had our son, Caleb. After having Caleb in Nov. 1999, we moved to AR in Feb 2000, had our daughter Natasha in February 2001. In March we moved back to Springfield, in May we moved to CO to be near my brother Earl and his family. In Jan. 2002 we moved back to Springfield and in August 2002, we separated (and went 2 years without any contact). The divorce was finalized in 2004. In October 2004 I gave birth to a baby boy whom my brother and his wife adopted. My kids and I are getting ready to move into a house soon, our first.
School
Had lots of various crushes...that tends to happen when you spend alot of time around the same people. My biggest inspiration as far as teachers go was Mr. Hibler. He made class fun and made people want to learn. As with alot of the classes, it's hard to get anything done if certain students keep disrupting, but Mr. Hibler took it all in strid...Expand for more
e and managed to get the class back on task (as best as he could). My favorite time was Marching Band and Orchestra.
College
I wasn't one of the lucky ones who got to go away for college. I went to KCKCC for 2 semesters, majoring in Law Enforcement. Then life happened and I had to get a job and quit school. I finally was able to go back to school in 2002 and graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, MO in July 2005 with my Associates in Paralegal Studies. I am considering going back for my Bachelor's.
Workplace
My first job was Sonic Drive in on Strong Ave. Since then I have worked for Sonic in many different places. I have also worked as a security guard, waitress at Steak n' Shake, and construction clean-up. After graduating with my Associates, I worked for an attorney handling Bankruptcies and now I work for an attorney handling Social Security and Workers' Comp. I am always looking for a position with an attorney that handles criminal cases or a position with the city or county.
