Patricia's Story
I went to Regina High School for 2 years. My mother passed away, in Feb. 1976, leaving my father to raise 11 of us. She worked too hard on this earth, so God took her home to Heaven, at an early age of 49, to give her much needed rest!! We have all missed her, tremendously, but know she is with us, guiding us throughout our lives!! My father lived 21 years, without the love of his life, by his side. All 10 of my siblings still live in Md...pretty amazing!! We are an extremely close family that would do anything for one another!! The greatest gift God, and our parents, could have ever given us...one another!!
I went to Springbrook high school, for my last 2 years, since money was tight, and our younger siblings needed to stay in St. Camillus.
I married 2 weeks after graduating from high school. God blessed us with two wonderful daughters, born in 1981 & 1989. We continued to be blessed with 3 grandchildren, aged 5,3 & 1. They live in NC, so we do ...Expand for more
not see them as often as we wish we could. Our younger daughter is in her second year of college, at ODU, in Norfolk,VA. She is majoring in accounting, but wants to become a lawyer.
I have been working in the printing industry for 28 years. Currently, I decided to change my occupation, to a nurse aide position, just to see what it was like to do one of my favorite things...take care of people, and enjoy their company. I am in the process of awaiting to hear about a gov't job. Time will tell. For now, though, I really enjoy working with the older generation, and the disabled children I have been taking care of. I do not get paid much, monetarily, but feel a huge amount of gratitude, at the end of each day!! This, of course, is worth more than any amount of money!! I plan to continue my work as a nurse aide, even if I get the gov't job. The main reason I want that job is for the benefits (retirement, esp.). We will see what God has in store for me!!
