patricia's Story
It is one of those days that just seem to bring back the past for some unknown reason...so it seemed befitting ti ttempt a story.Of course, there are parts I will spare simply because this might come out more like a romance novel rather than a whats up kind of thing.Leaving Virginia Beach at almost 20 was by far the hardest thing I had ever done in my life. Sure ,I could have stayed behind, but I couldn't stay behind with the guy I was seeing because I was in love with someone else, and of course,the one with someone else, I could never have...We moved into this three traffic town where everyone was clickish, and looked down on strangers...even in church.And the so called friends I did chance to meet always wanted something in return.Did something really stupid, then did something even more stupid that I couldn't quite get myself out of unscathed.Oh, be...Expand for more
lieve me, I still wear the scars from that 6` long months, and it took a long time to forgive myself.Way longer than I know than it took God to forgive me.Being alone drove me to push any hope of what I left behind could maybe become real again, and I met a guy that we decided to marry.The whole time I waited to enter the church, all I coud think was run...and I really should have had I had an inkling of what was in store.I sobbed through the entire ceremony, and you know talk about signs, not one picture took. I will just say that within a month of me working while he went out all day and night with the guys, I gave him that old line 'my lawyer will be in touch'and that was the end of that.Greg and I married April 6`, 1984,and now have 3 children and 3 grand children ages almost 1,almost 3, and almost 6``````, and I would not trade the world for them.
