Patricia's Story
Half "girl from the big city" and half
"Pacific Northwest tree hugger." Moved to Hawaii in the late 60's with one of my wonderful grade and high school friends,Kathy McGuire. Eventually married someone there and then moved to Oregon. I am divorced with a son and daughter, who despite my 1960's parenting skills, managed to evolve into responsible and educated humans. I'm divorced and work as a mental health nurse in Portland and live directly across the Columbia River in Vancouver, Wa. My home is 60 min. from the Pacific coast and Mt. ing up on the roof! I've been blessed with excellent health so remain pretty active and typically on the go. Try to visit my family in Chicago at least once a year. At my core, I will always be a Southside Chicago girl and believe it is one of the most beautiful cities in the country and home to the most genuine, generous and fun people anywhere!
I have fond memories of my old friends and classmates from St. Brendan's, St.Bernards and Loretta. I would love to touch bases and hear about their lives and maybe compare memories and interpretations of who we were and what the world was really like in the 50's and 60's.
