Patricia's Story
Life
My husband, Dale, and I have been married for 19 years. We have together 4 children. Three boys and one long awaited little girl. I am a stay home Mom and extremely busy with everyday affairs of keeping house and tending to a family that is always on the go. People who know me, know that I am very busy between family, friends, and church and wouldn't change anything about that. Life is a challenge but very worth while. I am grateful to God, family, and friends for they have all play an important role in molding me to be the person that I am today.
School
I remember having a lot of fun in and out of school. I was more interested in being a class clown, and having fun than my education. I remember having a crush on Mr. Alexander (who didn't?). Mr. Troescher taught me where my last name was orignated from because he couldn't believe that "Suer" was really my last name... I remember being mad at Mrs. Steib's for failing me in Civic's (I'm over it now Mrs. Steib). Thinking Mr. Bellow was the coolest man God put breathe of air in because he use to let me skip class and hang out in his classroom with my then best friend (Kathy Spongia). Some of my favor...Expand for more
ite teachers were: Mr. Moody, Mrs. Moody (who had a way of making Social Studies interesting when you couldn't stand it), Mrs. Brignac, Mrs. Zimmerman (who by the way, taught me how to type-THANKS!!!), & Mrs. Fernandez (my homeroom teacher). I remember hanging out at the skating ring (1st Sonny's and then Skate Country). Monday night--ladies night and of course Friday & Saturday night!!! Isn't it amazing how some things don't change. I now look at the kids today and watch them and it is almost like looking back in time. Funny thing is that they think we are totally clueless because we are considered "OLD!" lol
College
I enjoyed going to Phillips Junior College. I met some wonderful people and learned a lot. I especially enjoyed the typing, bookkeeping, and shorthand courses. Believe it or not, I actually maintain a 4.0 GPA while attending. Amazing how well you can do when you actually put your mind to it, and the fact that it was coming out of my pocket made me appreciate it all the more and want to make sure that I got my dollars worth! I may not use what I learned in the work force, but it sure does come to use in my everyday personal life...
