Patricia's Story
Life
My biggest accomplishment was to help save the Jesus Saves neon signs that stood on the skyline of Los Angeles for sixty years. The signs can be seen in hundreds of movies filmed in and around Los Angeles.
After a long bitter fight, the signs were declared an historic monument. The building that housed the signs was the birthplace of many famous Christian Preachers and Evangelist; R A Torrey, Billy Graham, J Vernon Magee, Billy Sunday, Dr. Gene Scott, just to name a few. After experiencing a devastating earthquake the building was torn down.
The signs were later restored and mounted on another historic monument, the famous United Artist Theater...Expand for more
on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles. The theater is the home of The Los Angeles University Cathedral, Mrs. Melissa Scott became Pastor after the death of her husband, Dr. Gene Scott
School
My biggest crush was on Jasper Brown. I never told anyone. I did not have one teacher who inspired me while I was in school. If I could do it all over again I would have worked the summers, saved my money and moved to New York to live with my Aunt Emma. I was stupid, I should have listened to someone, but I didn't. I hated school. I went because I had to. I did things I was ashamed of. I couldn't wait to get out. But I miss some of the people I use to hang out with.
