As of May of 2013... we are unfortunately leaving lovely NorCal and headed for life in the frozen tundra of Buffalo NY for Kirk's twilight tour in the Coast Guard... look for us there in July 2013! Life Hello anyone who happens to check this out. I have been married since Oct of 1993 to the love of my life (I know, gag) and we have 2 wonderful children who ARE my biggest joy in life. A little boy (Jan 2000) and a girl (Oct 2001). I am currently being their mom and managing the household. I still do alot of photography (mainly for us) and some art projects now and again. I am extremely involved at the kid's school, sometimes too much, it is like a full time job. My husband is in the Coast Guard and has been for 20 years. We left Memphis and did a tour in Charleston, SC; Chesapeake, VA; and now are in Petaluma, CA(north of San Fran) Kirk made Senior Chief and after a one year extension here at TRACEN he put in for the CAMSPAC SCIC job in Pt Reyes. He got that job which allowed us to stay in our ever shrinking quarters, allow the kids to finish school at Two Rock (Hunter through 6th and Hailey through 5th), but is a brutal commute for him! Thank you honey! Being here since 2003 and now opting to stay you have gathered we do love it here! The base is nestled in a valley and in the winter is gorgeously green! We get all our rain in about a 5 month span in the "winter". The base is a reserve so the black tail deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, and many other creatures (including the mountain lion, I have yet to see myself but have reliable sources*UPDATE my husband saw the mountain lion last month! I still have not :( boo ) are allowed to roam freely and it is a great lesson in appreciating nature for the children. Hunter is ALL BOY, quite smart, does well in school when he is not talking (do not know where he got that..hmmmm). He is in to soccer like his dad and loves to capture any bug or creature he can find. Hailey is a nice combo of "keep up with brother, tomboy" and girly girl. She is also smart as a whip, loves to sing and dance, thinks she is Carrie Underwood, the kids in her class tell her she is. They are great and we both love them like mad!
