Patricia Jean's Story

Life Patty Jean Smithyman from Bigham Street in Mount Washington...if you know where that is, I'm counting on you knowing St. Mary of the Mount School and the Blue and White Store where every kid from the Mount hung out! My parents owned that corner store. Let me know if you remember it or any of the Smithyman boys, Johnny, Danny, or Mike! All the best! unity of Nuns has their motherhouse in Parma Hts, Ohio. I began teaching in 1970 at Incarnate Word Academy and continued my education on a part-time basis so I didn't really graduate with "a class". I became a Reading Intervention Specialist by continuing my education at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. I retired with 27 years of teaching. I have been married for 30 years to John Zito. We have 4 children and 4 grandkids. Still have the 2 youngest not married! Life is beautiful and we have everything we could ask for.

In 2020, I ran over 2 million steps and my 6 mile run was always under an hour and a half. Today I’m running or kinda walking fast and happy when I’m under 2 hours for my 6 miles. Must be getting old! Happy NOW!
Relaxing is trusting God, yourself, and your perfect NOW…
