School I was in the medical profession from 1982 to 2005. After high school, I worked as a legal secretary for almost two years, then attended a private career school to become a medical assistant (those are the folks that draw your blood, give you injections, etc., in a physicians office). I worked in a great practice for quite a number of years. In 1989, I began teaching Medical Assisting at a local private career school in Maryland, working my way from instructor, to Evening Supervisor, and finally to Director of Education in 2000. In late 2001, I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and that is where I currently reside. I taught for another private career school here in Tulsa for a while (as of the summer of 2006, I have been here for five years). I really became burned out with the medical profession and changed careers last spring. Now, I work for a great national bank in the Tulsa area and am a successful mortgage banker. While I have never married in the traditional sense, I am very much in love and have two "step" kids, one "step" granddaughter. I also have two dogs and a cat ... there's a hamster and fish in the house too, but they belong to the kids.
