Patricia's Story

Patricia is from Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is married with Carl Punky Mitchell. Her schools include St. Joseph's Academy, Holy Trinity School, St. Edmond High School, Sacred Heart Elementary School. She later attended Iowa State University. Music Patricia likes includes Alex Boye', Mormon Tabernacle Choir. TV shows she likes include NUMB3RS, Rizzoli&Isles, Save Harry's Law. One of Patricia's favorite quotes is:"Let Go....And Let God As children bring their broken toys, With tears, for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God Because He was my friend. But then instead of leaving Him In peace to work alone. I hung around and tried to help, With ways that were my own. At last I snatched them back and cried, This is taking way too long, "How can you be so slow?" "My child" He said, "What could I do? You never would Let Go!" Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe; dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible. So frequently we mistakenly believe that our children need more things, when in reality their silent pleadings are simply for more of our time. President Thomas S. Monson A hero is someone who moves beyond fear toward battles his heart has to win, who conquers not so much with forceful bravado; but by summoning strength from within. A hero is someone whose sense of what's right propels him as nothing else could, and when he performs beyond all his dreams; it is selflessly for other's good. It is not within him to carry revenge, nor to boast of victories won, but to quietly face every new challenge; doing what needs to be done. And even if fate deals him less than fair hands, he plays them with fairness of heart, for it is an inherent goodness within that sets a hero apart...Expand for more
. ........... . - see Harry Potter site When you push against the boundaries of experience into the twilight of the unknown, the Lord will strengthen you. The beauty of your eternal soul will begin to unfold. Elder Richard G. Scott "We cannot control what others choose to do, and so we cannot force our children to Heaven, but we can determine what we will do. And we can decide that we will do all we can to bring down the powers of Heaven into that family we want so much to have forever." Elder Henry B. Eyring "When you face adversity, you can be led to ask many questions. Some serve a useful purpose; others do not. To ask, 'why does this have to happen to me? Why do I have to suffer this now? What have I done to cause this?', will lead you into blind alleys. It really does no good to ask questions that reflect opposition to the will of God. Rather ask, 'What am I to do? What am I to learn from this experience? What am I to change? Whom am I to help? How can I remember my many blessings in times of trials?" Elder Richard G. Scott "If we choose the wrong road, we choose the wrong destination." Dallin H. Oaks ". More about Patricia:"I'm happy to be a grandmother - nickname "Mahna" - 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter... and Punky is happy to be a grandfather - nickname "Bumpa." Born in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Attended Sacred Heart Elementary School there and Holy Trinity Elementary School in Des Moines, IA. Spent my freshman year at St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines, then my last three years of high school at St. Edmond High (Go Gaels!) back in Ft. Dodge. As an adult have lived in Michigan, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
