Patricia's Story
Life
I've only worked for two companies since I graduated from high school: My first job was at Stewart's department store in Westview Mall (Maryland) and Bank of America (including predecessor banks, Maryland National Bank and NationsBank). In the spring of 1976, I started working for Maryland National Bank in downtown Baltimore. In 1994, my husband, Ted, and I moved to Dallas after NationsBank purchased Maryland National Bank. In 1998, NationsBank acquired BankAmerica and took on the name of Bank of America. Time continues to march on after 30+ years with the company; I have held multiple positions within the bank mostly Project Manager/Project Management Office (PMO) positions. I am very fortunate that I can work from home full time and do not have to travel to Dallas every day!
Our 50 acre property is about 60 miles south of Dallas and is always full of activity. It is home to us and various animals: 5 horses, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 46 chickens: 17 laying hens plus 29 chicks, hatched in March 2010.
Living out in the country is wonderful. Every day starts out with a beautiful sunrise and ends with a gorgeous sunset. We love the daytime and nighttime sounds, including the howling of the coyotes! Life doesn't get much better than this.

er since early 1985. He had 4 children from his previous marriage; at that time they ranged from 5 yrs old to 14 years old. I had also been married previously; no children. At least one of the children always lived with us, sometimes more than one and on weekends, all 4 were with us. Whenever their grades in school were not what was expected or if they became too much for their Mom, well, their bags were packed and they headed to our house! Lots of chaos in those days ~ but we all survived! Mom and Step-Mom (me) always talked and figured things out when it came to the children. I know that's not typical, but in any situation, we always treated each other with respect and focused on doing the best for the children! Time flies when you are having fun.
The kids aren't kids anymore. Angela, the youngest, is now 30 years old and is Mom to our six year old and 4 year old grandchildren. Wendy is next to the youngest, she is 35 years old and she is Mom to our youngest grandchild; he is 3 years old. Krissa is the next oldest and she is 35 years old; no children, she is very career minded. The oldest, Teddy Jr, is 37 years old and will marry in May, 2010.
The only thing bad about being in Texas is that we can't visit with the kids and grandkids as often as we'd like...
