Life
After graduation, I earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Georgia. (Go Dawgs!) I moved to Savannah, Ga., where I spent six years as a local government reporter for the Savannah Morning News. It's also where I met and married my wife, Geri. In 1994, we moved to Douglasville, Ga. In 1999, I left journalism behind and have spent the past eight years teaching history - two years in middle school and six years in high school. I earned my master's degree in education in 2004. Geri and I adopted our son, Carter, in 2001 and our daughter, Emma, in 2004.
