Patrick's Story

Life I have been very busy in the military. I am now a Human Resourse Officer stationed in Mannheim, Germany. I have a 13 year old son who is getting bigger and spoiled by the day. His name is Xavier. We are all having fun in Germany. I finally had time to finish my degree. Its a double major in business and finance with a minor in computer networking.(Update: I am finished and will graduate Summa cum laude.) I have been all over the world to some places like Hawaii, Panama, Korea, England, Italy just to name a few. I went to Vegas on New Year's Eve. Have to be there to believe it. I have been to Madi Gras twice(loved it). I lived in Hawaii for 4 years after HS I talk to David Price who graduated from Del City on a weekly basis. I hope everyone from the class of 89 is doing good. Take care. College I started my college journey at Chaminade University in Hawaii.(I just want to add that my dumb ass turned down a chance to go to West Point. Have regretted that decision but hey !, what can you do?) After arriving in Texas I transferred to Central Texas College and earned my Associates there. I deployed to Panama and took some courses over there also. I was working on my BS at the University of Central Texas but had to stop because I was selected to flight school. That caused me to postpone my degree for three years. By the time I arrived at Fort Carson and got settled we were packing up to leave for Iraq. But due to an injury I stayed behind. I took a few classes at Embry Riddles before deciding that Regis University was the place for me. Workplace Well there is not to much to say here. I have been in the military since I have graduated high school. I have had many jobs in the military but I was planning on covering that in my miltary profile. But what I will s...Expand for more
ay is that I started as a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic, then a Personnel Admin Specialist, and finally an Apache pilot who knows what is next. Military Went to Fort Sill, Ok for basic training then on to Fort Eustis for Advanced Individual Training(AIT). My first assignment was E co 214th Avn Regt at Schofield Bks, HI(K quad WHAT!!). 1994 left for Fort Benjamin Harris,IN for a job change to Personnel Admin Specialist then on to 401MP Company, Fort Hood, Texas. Worked in the PAC of 720MP Battalion and also 89th MP Brigade when the battalion went to Bosnia. I couldn't go due to the fact I had just got back from a deployment from Panama with the 401st. I left for BNCOC in the winter of 1995 at Fort Jackson, SC. I did an intra-post transfer to the 555 Eng Co and worked in the PAC at the 3rd Corps headquarters. My boss ended up leaving to try to go Bosnia with another unit so I followed her to the 546th PSB where I worked in Enlisted records.(Never did deploy). Well in '99 I decided to apply for flight school and was accepted. After my time in 1st WOC and getting jipped out of my tour to Germany, I ended up in one of the greatest units in the Army. I was assigned to the 3/6 Cavalry at Camp Humphreys, Korea.(Rough Riders till I die.) After my time in Korea I ended up at Fort Carson, CO in 4/3 Cavalry Squadron. Due to a bad foot surgery I ened up in the Rear Detachment while my unit left of Iraq. After finding out I was permanetly grounded I ended up working at HHC, 7th ID Garrison Headquarters G3 Air(staff job). I then went to G1 to OJT in the Human Resources arena. I went tdy(temporary duty) en route to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, for WOBC (Warrant Officer Basic Course) for the Human Resource field. I am now currently station in Mannheim Germany with the 5th Signal Command.
