Greetings everyone!
I am currently an HR Compliance Consultant with a large insurance company headquartered in the San Francisco-Bay Area. I began my career with this company almost 30 years ago as a litigation paralegal after completing my bachelor’s degree at Cal State University, East Bay and then obtaining a paralegal certificate from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. After 4 years on the litigation side, I transferred to the corporate side of the legal department where I supported the employment attorneys for about 10 years. re I felt I could make more of an impact and “head-off” employee disputes and issues before they rose to the level of a lawsuit.
I have now been an HR professional for about 15 years, and, in addition to holding HR certifications, I am certified in disability management, an accredited ergonomics evaluator, and certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have a 10-year old daughter, who is definitely a Daddy’s girl! I am currently obsessed with golf (just bought a set of new irons), and I just joined a gym in the hope of getting myself back into decent shape (getting old stinks!).
