School The teacher that inspired me the most is Coach Fouts who set the mark for me to reach. One of the Funniest stories I can think of is the day in school of the Last Legal hacks in the State of Washington by Coach Fouts. He used that dame paddle that some saddist from the 60's made him in wood shop that hung on his office wall. It was advanced P.E., and I was the T.A. with two other All State award winners Max and Brian. Coach Fouts had the whole class at attention as Max and I walked in late as normal. Fouts had a smile on his face that I had never seen before like he had just won the super bowl, and that paddle from his office in his grasp. We made a vain plea attempt for our lifes to Coach Fouts, but to no avail. I was first to assume the position as Coach Fouts prepared his swing. It is true I can confirm that Coach Jim Fouts did play Semi-pro baseball, and was probable batting clean up for that team! Max got his next, and we both ran to the locker room mirror crying from the pain to inspect the damage to our cheeks. As we made an attempt to see the carnage in the fadded mirror yelling and crying at the top of our lungs from the pain... In walked the third T.A. who also was late looked at us crying, wanting to know what happened. It's funny how fast pain can chan...Expand for more
