Patrick's Story
Life
I just want to make this very clear:
I was not the narc!! If I was, I would have been a lot cooler and had a car! I also would have been ineligible for sports in my Junior Year, so there!
I wanted to blame Johnny Depp for ruining my life, then I looked at pictures of the two of us and realized that no one would ever have mixed the two of us together.
Well, things have certainly been busy for the twenty years since High School. I went to College at University of La Verne in California, spent a year in England and then moved pretty often since then, about every two years or so. I have lived in New York State, various areas in Los Angeles, Seattle, WA and am now in San Bernardino County. I have been married to the same lady since 1994 and we have two great children. Our oldest is Madeline, who is eleven years old as I write this. Our son, Sean, is six. Helen and I both work for the same company, but met the first week I was at college. After eight years of wandering, moving, getting back together and parting ways, we were married and have rarely let each other out of our sights since then. In June of this year, I was ...Expand for more
exiting the freeway in my 2005 Mustang and looked up to see a 2006 Nissan Armada heading straight for me! I figured that was it, but woke up a second later in my car. The airbag had deployed and I was surprised to even be there. Long story short, I had a compound fracture in my left femur and a shattered right tibia. When all was said and done, I spent 79 days in the hospital, have not been to work full time since and have scared the heck out of my family. As I end the year 2006 I will be very happy to see it end. I am also very lucky to have survived it as intact as I have! May everyone know how glad I am that I can say that! There have been ups and downs, but the world has treated me very kindly so far. I have many things I still would like to do, but would say that my life has been a full one.
2008 Update. Moved to Philadelphia area, transferred with my company . Helen and the kids are doing great and I am slowly getting somewhat better. I will have to have yet another surgery on my left leg, but that was always very likely. Thanks for all your prayers, I am sure things will work out.
