Patrick's Story
Life to date,
After High School, (2 years at Bishop Dwenger, 2 at R. Nelson Snider) joined the Air Force at the tail end of Vietnam. Was Medic in Wichita Falls,Tx. and Anchorage, Ak. Went to IU/PU, at Fort Wayne, received ADN degree went to work at St. Joseph's as an RN in the Burn Unit, Remember well the girls from the Pinto crash that made Ralph Nader famous and the molten metal injuries from the area steel mills.
Left FWA to ANC, Alaska. Living in Anchorage, took an interest in the sky. Worked as Air Ambulance RN for local hospital and at the emergency room, Intensive Care units.
Saw a hot air balloon in the sky one day in Anchorage, became hooked. Soon became a Commercial Pilot in hot air balloons, charter and instruction for about 10 yrs in Anchorage. Pilot for the National Bank of Alaska Balloon. Left Alaska and Balloons and icy runways, tough weather, went to Sunny California, San Francisco.
Shortly thereafter joined the Merchant Marines, worked as a ship's Purser/Medic. Returned from each sailing a better person after two years sailing. Rough seas in the winter bobbin...Expand for more

After returning to San Francisco, again became involved in patient air transports, co-owned Air Ambulance Service at SFO for about 10 years, accompanying patients throughout the world.
Retired as Nursing Officer of the Day from St Francis in San Fran at age of 67.
Life has been good and have generally gotten to where I/We wanted to go, in much measure to the people who might peruse this bio, grade school and high school buddies and the structures and institutions that brought us together. We all can spell well, use logic and clarity of thought and a handshake is still a deal seem to be the order of the day.. To this I am eternally grateful.
Continually amazed at the past and the people that gave me the glue in starting out life. Thanks to all who remember and for those that I'm hazy about, refresh me.
First Married/Marriage to Julia in 2010.
Still married. Still living in Oakland, CA. Travel even more now, seeing the things always wanted to see. Cancer scare. Okay 01.15.19 Just came back from river trip from Budapest to Amsterdam. Hope all is well for you.
