Patrick's Story
Life
mmmmmmm. Where to start. After DeSales I spent about ten years in various levels of cooking--from fast food and mobile concessions to cafes and country clubs. Had a three-year stint delivering mail for the post office. On a whim I moved to Oregon by myself, knowing nobody there, and found Portland to be the best place anywhere. e year off from school, moved back to Columbus--my how it had grown--and worked for a pipe organ builder for that year. Now I'm on the east coast, finding culture shock a little harder to deal with in my thirties than it was in my twenties. I'm in Rhode Island in an English PhD program that may or may not get abbreviated to a Masters program--depends if it holds my interest or not. On a whim I applied to teach English in Japan next year--we'll see what happens.
