Patsy's Story
I am Patsy N. Abraham (first photo in the yearbook), graduate of the 1969 Class of Edmondson High School. After graduation, I went to Coppin State College, majoring in Elementary Education. I have my Master's. I am currently unattached, but am seeing a classmate off and on. (Guesses?)
I am currently and have always been employed by the Baltimore City Public School System. While employed thru BCPSS, I have been a teacher - grades 2 - 9, a Re-Adjustment Center Instructor, an Area Mentor, a Blum Teacher Mentor, and am currently holding the position of: Alternative to School Suspension: Crisis Intervention Center Director.
Through the years, I have held many positions - outside of work. Some are Executive Manager for J.D. Howard's Photography, Manager of a Mid-Atlantic semi-pro football team: The Baltimore Christian Warriors - Division Champs, Accounting Director for a florist, Secretary for my Church's Vacation Bible School, Education Tutor, and more.
So, you see, I've been quite busy and God has been good to me. I have suffered some loses; my dad, my grandparents, an aunt and two uncles. But everytime, I've been blessed with the birth of another relative - nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews - and the like.
I suffered health loses as well, but I am still here. I have had several severe asthma and heart attacks and because of the last one (heart), I lost my right leg - below the ...Expand for more
knee (blood clot in the leg - in 2000). One would not know it because I seem to be busier now than before the lost.
I am the mother of 4 - one by natural birth and three I've adopted and have adopted me. I have 2 natural and 4 adopted grandchildren. I have had a full and prosperous life and hope the same has been yours.
I am now eagerly awaiting the 40th year class reunion for the 1969 class of Edmondson High school - which will take place on October 10, 2009 at 9 PM at Martin's West on Dogwood Road in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the desire of the Committee to give back to our school. So, for the sake of the class of 1969, ATTEND IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AND BRING A FRIEND as our reunion seeks to find as many 1969 graduates as possible, but welcomes anyone who can say they are an Edmondson graduate. The more the merrier.
