I have experienced tragic injuries with both of my children, but lives were spared by the miraculous hand of God.
I have experienced travel from "sea to shining sea" and sung that song many miles along the way.
I have experienced having a fortune and loosing a fortune and I am thankful I am now on the bottom end of the food chain. It's much happier there.
I am trying to reconnect with classmates from this wonderful little school which taught us much about community and the disabilities that some experience in their lifetime. I am so thankful for that part, to understand what it was like to respect the "exceptional" children. And, they were just that, ...Expand for more
"exceptional." Our heads would have "rolled" if we had ever made fun of or bullied them. I don't think we understood the true value of the education we received in that little neighborhood school, but it was huge. I remember Elizabeth Tait, the scary Miss Johnston and the gentle spirited Mrs. Dillabough. I would love to reconnect with some of my 5th and 6th grade fellow class members, i.e., Susan Mayfield, Buddy Rourke, (I heard Johnny Lambeth, passed, what a funny guy he was, I think he could have given Robin Williams a run for his money back in the day when Robin had clean humor. I always thought of Johnny whenever I used to watch Robin.), Deborah Day, Mark Cannon.
My life, like yours, I'm sure, has had its ups and downs. But through it all I am so thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that He could love me too much to allow me to stay where I was and that He could make a provision for my salvation.
