Dr. Patricia's Story
Since 2004, I have lived in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania - a suburb of Philadelphia. My husband, John "Sandy" McPherson retired from The Boeing Company in 2013. He is originally from Ohio (an Ohio State Buckeye). We met in 2002 when he worked on a NASA project for Boeing in Houston. Never in a million years did I think I would leave Houston. But, I did and love living in the northeast. In fact, it is where we plan to retire! Together, my husband and I have three sons (2 - his from first marriage and 1 - mine from first marriage and one daughter - mine from first marriage). Two of our sons live in California. Our son lives in Deer Park, Texas. Our daughter lives in Clear Lake City, Texas. Sandy and I have four grandchildren (two grandsons age 19 and 14 -- one granddaughter age 9) who live in Deer Park, and one granddaughter age 8 years who lives in Clear Lake. City. Following graduation from S. F. Austin High School, I attended and graduated from University of Houston Clear Lake with a B.S. in Education, University of Houston with a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and Baylor University with an Ed.D. in Educational Administration. After a thirty-year career as a teacher, principal and school district administrator in both Texas and Pennsylvania, I worked for several more years as an independent educational consultant dividing my time between New York City and Philadelphia. It was a lot less hectic being a consultant than working in today's schools. Don't think I would want to go back doing that! Now, I am retired...well, sort of. My husband and I spend a lot of time nowadays traveling around the globe. An occasional consulting project may find its way to my desk...but, ONLY if it does not interfere with any travel plans!
