Patsy (Pat)'s Story
Life
I can't believe that so many years have passed since Coosa High. We have lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama before returning to Ga in 1976. My husband, David Hollingsworth retired from the pipe line here in 2001.
I have been working with the schools in Bremen since 1982. My oldest grandchildren don't want me to retire till they graduate. We have been going to school together since preschool, theirs, not mine. I'm not sure that I can keep up with the changing technology. I fear that I will be taking classes for a few more years just to keep up.
I thought being a parent to Alysia and Chet was super, but being Mamaw to six is great. Jake (16), Savanna (16) and Kayce(15) live in Bremen, Madison(11) lives in Gwinnett county, and the youngest Stone (6) and Hann...Expand for more
ah (2) live in Bethlehem. The guys are out numbered!
We follow high school sports with Jake who plays football, wrestles, powerlifts and runs track. We spent Christmas in New Orleans at a wrestling tournament. The girls are into soccer, cheerleading, theater, and swimming. Oh, the miles that we have been and the sandwiches, brownies,etc that I have made for their teammates. I don't know that we'll be able to keep up with the youngest two. I did make it to Winder for a t-ball game with Stone. And enjoyed every minute of it!
As for high school, I have spent more time at Bremen High than I ever spent at Coosa. It is fun to watch all the kids. Almost everyone has a cellphone, car, an iPod, and an attitude. Did we? Amazingly, the more things change the more they stay the same.
