Patti's Story

Life Eddy Sambrana didn't take me to prom but he did marry me in 1984 and that has made all the difference in my life. We have two beautiful children; Katy, 20, a junior at the University of Delaware and Gregory, 17, a senior in high school. We live outside Washington DC in the suburbs. In my spare time I belong to a book club and try to travel as much as possible. I returned to Germany in 2004 and again in 2006 and stumbled along in my high school German. Thank you Frau Kull! I have also studied Spanish in Mexico with my daughter Katy, toured England and Scotland with my mom and Ireland with Eddy. Eddy and I have cruised several times and visited Puerto Rico with the kids several years ago. My mom still lives in Waterbury Manor and we go home 5-6 times a year. My dad passed away 13 years ago. My sister Karin '79 lives in North Carolina and my sister Sue '82 lives in Stormville NY. They each have 3 kids. The best part of teaching is summer and Eddy and I stay busy with our community's swim team, playing tennis and walking our dog, Tiger. I'm curious about friends from high school but I'm glad those days are over. I watch my son and think how much like Eddy he is- except instead of basketball Gregory is into soccer and swimming! eed and most of what I want. Drop me a line or send one to Eddy and maybe we'll see you in 2008! Peace Patti School My memories of Panas are a bit hazy but I remember being a Panas Player, surviving a year on the debate team and working on the literary magazine. The highlight of high school was my trip to Germany in 1976 with Herr Preminger and a group from Panas and Lakeland. Betsy Pines and Dawn Osselman were a few of my fellow travelers. I remember with great fondness Mrs. Leslie, Mr. Mahoney, Miss Sullivan, Frau Kull, Frau Martin, Mr. Pesavento, Mr. Silver, Mr. Belch, Mrs. Malloy and Mr. Bushey. Mr. Spinelli is the principal I remember the most. Lowlight was the teacher's strike our senior year and the impact on getting set for graduation. College Baldwin-Wallace College B.A. 1982, Zeta Tau Alpha, switched from biology to communication disorders after learning sign language from a sorority sister SUNY Geneseo M.A. 1984 Speech Pathology Towson University post graduate courses in Arts Integration Workplace I work for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. I am in my 23rd year as a speech/language pathologist. Currently I work as a classroom based speech language pathologist teaching preschoolers with moderate to severe speech and language impairments.
