Patti's Story
Life
God has been so gracious in allowing an obnoxious, loud-mouth brat to change so drastically! I attended CSUS and married in 1979 my best friend, Scott. Bay area for a year, Portland for 4 years (hubby's masters), and Seattle for 18 years, and now Yakima, Washington. Three fantastic children - Chris, 20, Danielle, 18, and Tim, 16--all musical (no duh!) and quite outspoken (wonder where that comes from!) I'm working for as an Accounting Specialist at LeMasterDaniels, a regional CPA firm, and abosolutely LOVE my job. I help small businesses and non-profits with their general day-to-day accounting issues, problems, and software questions. I am so a full-time mom/chauffeur, full-time keeper of a dalmatian and a full-time pastor's wife (bet no one ever thought that would happen!). If a personal relationship with Jesus can make that drastic of a change in this life, just think what He could do in yours . . . contact me and we'll talk!

School
High school was a wonderful time in my life...I began to learn just who the real "Patti" was and what she was capable of doing. Before that, I felt I could do nothing right...oh, my grades were ok, but my self-esteem was down in the gutter. My 9th grade year, I had a few teachers who challenged me to reach farther, try harder, do more. I will forever be grateful to Mrs. Fender and Mr. Yessen. At Highlands, I lived and brea...Expand for more
thed music, whether band or orchestra. I still love music. I am sure I always will. Mr. Hill, thank you! You, too, encouraged me that nothing is out of my reach if I at least try to reach for it. You also taught me that I, too, could be a leader (and serious for short periods of time)! There were others who encouraged me as well...Mr. Amorena and Mr. Parks (both of which I worked with after graduation).
There were friends who made an impact on me as well. Tina (Durham) Stoddard - I will never forget you! We are sisters ... thank you for being you, for being real, for being His. Kelly (Lynch) Leach - You stood with me at my wedding...AND we survived the trenches at Heald together. I can't wait to catch up now that we've reconnected. Dan Flagg - What can I say? You were always there...just never here...for so many years. Jr Hi will always be my "Pooh Corner" and a dream...the rest of our lives will be a blast! Thanks for being you and for being my forever friend. Lu (Knutson) Rogers - I told you everything in HS. You were with me on my most special day, my wedding. We drifted, but came back together when I received a letter some 7 or 8 years later about your heart change. Now, we're sisters always and forever!!! I STILL tell you everything, whether I want to or not, but it's now mutual. Remember, the counselor needs a counselor too! Sometime soon - you and me and Starbucks...and NO husbands nor kids!
