Patti's Story
Life has taken me down many paths. After North Catholic I chose Jefferson. Talk about culture shock. After high school I spent 1 year at Linfield College where I found out 2 things. 1st Jefferson did not prepare me for college and 2nd don't get sick and miss 2 weeks of college. You will never catch up.
I then became a certified dental assistant a married. Kienows employee in 76 or 77. That was not a smart moved. The marriage last 3 miserable years. I remarried, and moved to Louisiana and then South Carolina. After a short while we had to return to Washington State were death did we part 25 years later.
I have 1 child, a son, who at the age of 8 became Lumpy the Rodeo Clown, junior mascot of Vancouver Rodeo until the age of 18 when it was time to move on ...Expand for more
to college. He appeared in 10 Grand Floral Parade where he created an award winning legacy for 10 years.
After years of being a widow for 10 years I was reconnected with a man I met when I lost 2 dear to my heart fifteen year olds who were hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Woodland, WA. 8 years prior.. That was January 1, 2017. We married that July and reside in Toledo, WA.
6 months after we married I was faced with open heart surgery and 6 weeks later breast cancer surgery. I am a survivor. I dedicate my life educating people about rail safety and have become a public speaker associated with Washington State Operation Lifesaver.
We have been blessed with 4 great grandchildren of which the 5 and 3 year olds keep great grandma hopping. Life is a blessing.
