Grew up in Englewood, Co. Dad was transferred to Kansas City, Mo. my senior year so I went from being an Englewood student most of my life to a Park Hill student in Parkville, MO. (always claiming my graduating year to be at EHS, even though it wasn't - the toughest year of my life, I think ). Of course, moved back to CO to go to Western State in Gunnison.
Got married first time in 1970. My daughter Jessica, was born in 1976, moved from Aurora to the mountain area near Conifer/Evergreen in '80.
Did serious fine art - shows, competitions, galleries in Colorado, silkscreened motocross jerseys and racing leathers for about 10 years, then went back to school in '87. Got B.A at MSC, then M.A. at UCD, in elementary education. Took a break from art and taught in Jeffco, K-6, mainly K-2; ended my career with a couple of years of teachin...Expand for more

Divorced after 28 years in 1999. Been married to Gene Wall (class of 68) since 7-4-99. Retired from teaching and lived on a 100 year old farmstead in no. central KS for 11 years to be nearer to my aging parents who lived in Shawnee, Ks.. Missed COLORADO so much, we moved back in Sept. 2017 as there was no need to be close to KC anymore at that time. Made Westcliffe CO. our home on a 40 acre ranch at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mtns. Busy doing 'fine art' seriously again. We also love living the COLORADO Rockie Mtns, as well as traveling in our Class A RV,!
My biggest surprise in life has been...coming 'almost' full circle in my relationships and my life's passion. Looking forward to continuing that prospect.
I have learned so much from every experience, I wouldn't do anything differently. I feel lucky to be where I am in my life!
