Patty's Story
Life
After graduating from high school I went to Hannibal LaGrange College for 2 years then to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. I then moved to Alabama in August 1977 and taught Math and Science in a private school. In September of 1979, Hurricane Frederic came along and through a fellow teacher I met my future husband, Richard. We have 6 children and have been married for almost 25 years. a full time mom. Being a mom has both been exhausting but rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for anything. My children have been my life. Only recently in 2003 did I go back to work and only 15 hours a week so that I will still be home. My favorite place to be besides home is at the beach. I would live there if it weren't for the hurricanes that come along. Being in the south we have very little winter weather and a lot of summer so there is plenty of time for going to the beach.
