Paul's Story

After graduating from the U with degrees in marketing and management, I went into sales because that's what everyone said I was good at. For the next 15 years I hated everything I did for a living. Got married and had a daughter - but that fell apart so I became single for a long time. I finally made the move from sales to operations and started enjoying my job. I held a variety of marketing operations jobs for several years, during which time I was asked to teach in the evenings. I did, and found out that I loved it. re for about 15 years, rising to the level of Director of Academic Affairs for the State of Utah. Once things starting getting rough for the University, I jumped ship and became an Associate Dean for Salt Lake Community college, a job I have now held for 10 years. For fun, I have enjoyed racing motorcycles, playing on Ham radios, traveling to Mexico and Hawaii, rock collecting, and most of all fishing. Somewhere along the line I got remarried. My lovely wife Valerie and I have had 3 more kids (the youngest is now 21) and we have 3 grandkids. I plan to retire next year and spend the rest of my life fishing, going to Mexico a lot, and playing with my grandkids.
