Paulie just received his Ancestry.com DNA results. Over 60 % Eastern European (Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia), European Jewish , 19 % Ireland and Scotland, 10 % Portugal, and surprisingly only 4% Spain.

Warsaw, Poland, the first stop on my vacation before joining Nancy, Paulie and Valeria 10 days later in Barcelona. My trip to Poland was to search for the graves of my paternal great grandparents who died in a tiny village
It was in this 300 year old wooden church in the village of Wegrzynowo, Poland where Requiem Masses were held for my great grandparents in 1934 and 1936.
