Paul's Story
Life
I left the Akron area in 1985 and joined the Marine Corps and served four years. I was stationed in California and married Donna Boone. We moved to San Diego after we were married and have been there ever since. We have three children, Ashley, Cody, and Kayley. I am currently a police detective working for the San Diego Police Department, and have been so for over 15 years. I currently work for the DEA on cases involving narcotics shipments across the International border from Mexico.

San Diego is a big city and sometimes I wish I were back on the old turf. I am currently a detective working in the homicide division for the PD and just left my position at the DEA Narcotics Task Force. Homicide work is alot of paperwork and follow-up, but it can be rewarding when you work a good case. No two days are the same. Of course I started at the bottom in patrol, but worked my way up to my current position. Anyway it's great work and I love it. I make it back to Akron once a year and sometimes can't wait to retire so I can visit more frequently.
