Well A LOT has changed since graduation. I tried going to college at UW Fox Valley and ended up getting academically released do to my skating taking up to much of my time and not working hard enough at school. I was faced with getting stuck in a paper mill or joining the military. So i went for the military, my dad did 22 years in the navy and treated him pretty good. So i signed up and shipped out January of 2011, as a Fire Control Technician launching missiles and firing large guns. I enjoyed it but never got any satisfaction out of it and it was pretty much the same thing over and over again. So after only a year of doing that job i decided to look for a different job in the navy and found EOD. Took me an additional 2 years to finally get all the paper work and interviews done but March of 2009 i was back at Great Lakes Naval Base to begin my transition to EOD. Another year and a half of getting my ass kicked and pounding my head into a desk i was back in Norfolk, VA but this time as an EOD Technician. It's definitely not the same thing day in and day out at an EOD Tech. One day i can be disarming an IED with a robot, next day I'm entering a house taking care of booy traps that have been laid, then go diving under a ship or out in the ocean looking for mines, and finally jumping out of airplanes and helicopters all while getting paid for it all. I'm currently deployed to Iraq but should be home soon and when i get back I'm applying for an officer program and giving college a try again. This time I'm more gr...Expand for more
