Life: Getting here. My first wife attended bingo at the Mill Plain Vol. Firehouse where I met her one evening when serving her coffee. We were married nineteen years and then some life threatening issues caused a separation and an amicable divorce. (She comes to holiday dinners at our house at least once a year.) Religion became a prominent feature in my life and I met my second wife at a church dinner. Some of you might remember I played trombone in the DHS band and was also the Drum Major for three years. Well after hanging up the trombone for twenty years I picked up a baritone horn (same mouthpiece and range as a trombone)and started playing in church. Six years later I joined a professional brass band as fifth chair Euphonuim (like a baritone horn but with another valve) and gradually worked my way up to solo chair. Thirteen years of that, private instrumental teaching, and music politics I'd had enough. So, I hung up the horn again. Seven years later I bought another horn and along with my wife (flute) and daughter (13 yr old, french horn) we joined a couple of different local bands.
