Paul's Story
Life
After High school i spent three years in the Army. Upon discharge i joined the Chicago Police Department where i served as a Gang specialist. There are many interesting stories from that time. I was assigned to the body guard detail for a mayor, a congressman, detailed to the FBI and DEA units. Spent time undercover with the gang and narcotics units. Assisted in the take down of a major Chicago street gang. I was having what some might say was a fast pace career until a one of several duty related injuries caused me to take an early retirement in 1992. I then went to work for the phone company, went all thru the changes from Illinois bell to AT&T. I worked as a lineman to an engineer for the phone co., where i am still employed. heart attacks. I am a survivor!!! I have kept active with boxing and baseball since high school. I am currently also working part-time as a personal trainer. I have four children and seven grandchildren. I was a single parent raising my children, i think i did a good job. At least my kids say i have.
Update, I am now active with Homeland Security, maybe I have a thing about wearing some type of uniform......hmmmmmmm....lol. Currently I have been given a rank of 2nd Lt and am a ground team leader for S&R and National disasters( not too bad for a kid from the south side). They are scheduling me for flight training this summer(OMG, they're gonna trust me with a plane!!!!) I hope everyone is doing well, Have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!
