Workplace After graduating from college, joined Fairchild Republic on Long Island as a flight test engineer and have been doing that ever since. I left there after 3 years and joined Grumman. ved south, first to Gulfsteam in Savannah, GA and then Lockheed in Marietta, GA. In 1998 I joined the FAA as a flight test engineer in Atlanta, responsible for certifying airplanes throughout the southeast and South America. Since 2001, I've also been responsible for regulations on guidance on certifying airplanes for flight in icing conditions.
