In elementary school I was a straight A student, Junior High was a struggle. No one knew my mother was very ill. I was the oldest of 3 boys and a lot of responsibility fell to me. In High School, 9th grade, my mother underwent brain surgery, and never recovered till she passed in 97. I was a real joker, show off, even smart ass then. It was the only way I knew how to deal with the stress of being an adult in a teenagers body. There was no community help for a family in this situation. I graduated late, due to the situation, but I graduated with a 4.o average. After High School I drag raced on Woodward almost every night till 1977. I worked for Race Car Engineering, raced at Detroit Dragway, and pit crewed for some of the fasted cars around. I still have the car from back then. Owned it 39 years now. I got married in 1976 to Susan Frincke from Kimball High, Royal Oak. We have a son Arthur he will be 30yrs old in April , a daughter Rhiannon will be 25 in September.
