Paul's Story
Life
Was raised in Lima, Ohio and left in 1957 and have been back a few times to visit friends or relatives since. Spent 21 years in the US Army, 2 tours in Viet Nam, 7 years in Germany, 1 year in Korea.
Retired from the Army in 1978 and moved to Henderson, NV and have been here selling real estate ever since. I enjoy hunting, fishing, travel in our RV and taking in a few dog shows along the way.
School
Attended Central, Lima South and Lima Senior High.
Joined the Army in 1957, where I served for 21 years.
Also served 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam.
I grew up using my stepfathers name and when I joined the Army, I went in under my real name of Paul Gargis.
Workplace
Retired from the Army in 1978, went to college full time to complete my degree that I had started at the Univ. of Tampa a few years before.

at took its toll on my personal life, sold out and went back to work as an agent and plan to continue for the near future.
Military
Joined the Army in 1957 and went to Germany in Feb 58, where I remained for 5 years.Spent a lot of time on border patrol, along the East German and Chech borders.
Was back in Germany a couple of years later in a tank unit. Returned to the states in 66 and served as a Senior Drill Sgt for 2 years at Ft. Bragg, from there went to RVN, 25th Inf Div 3rd of the 22nd Inf Bn.From ther went Ft. Wolters, Tx at the Army Helicopter School for 2 years and back to RVN as an advisor down in the Delta.
Was then assigned to the Univ of Tampa as an ROTC instructor for 2 years and then to Ft. Hood, Tx as a Tank Company First Sergeant and then promoted to E-9, served as Bn CSM, of the 1/7 Cav, post Sergeant Major at Camp Market Korea and then 1/9Inf CSM and retired at Ft. Ord,Ca Command Sergeant Major 6th/31st Inf in 1978
