Paul's Story

It took several jobs before I found my destined profession. Not alone in that regard probably, but living so close to the Fire Hall in Colborne, and having Firefighters in my family (adopted and maternal) it might only seem logical that's what I'd wind up doing. In between jobs I got married, had two kids, got divorced and remarried again. Since leaving Colborne my life hasn't been boring! Am on the slippery slope down the back side of the employment hill, but not quite ready to go yet. I'd love to hear from anybody who grew up in Colborne, but most particularly, those who I went through CPS with. In January 2008, I transferred ...Expand for more
from Fire suppression to Fire Prevention. There was no raise in pay, Bob Rae saw to that years ago, but not having to work weekends, shifts and holidays more than made up for no more money. The only wrench in the gears is that every third week I'm on call for any investigations that are requested. Really though, that is the most interesting part of the job. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Greg Miller or Dan Worrell, would you get in touch please? They aren't the only ones that I remember from ENSS, but they were the ones I spent most of my time with. Unfortunately, after High School we all went our separate ways, and lost touch.
