Paul's Story

Well it's now august 2011, It's now been 25years or so sicne I've talked to any of you all.It has been a while I'll admit, but I didn't feel like 25 years had passed. Unfortunately, I can't say I've made the most with my life so far. Too often along the way, I made poor choices (mostly the 3 DUI's I've aquired) and have been recieving consequenses as I continue to reap the rewards that come with some of my life choices. That being said, I'm still alive, I've got my health, at least for now I have a roof over my head, food ta eat, good family and friends, and I got hope for tommorrow. Some would hear that and consider me a wealthy man. I like the way they think so that's how I will choose to view myself as well. Man, I left NAI like 1986, but truly, I brought so many of you along my journey in my heart. Northside Assembly is were I made some of the best friends i would ever make from that time til now. My friends were awesome, my teachers were great, My principle(Bro. Irby McKnight) was great. And my football coach, was a friend, mentor, teacher, and coach and his wife even tutored me with pre-algebra and other subjects I struggled with. We were close with everyones parents. The NAI Eagles was my extended family. I don't know if any of you guys/gals will read this but if you were an NAI Eagle between 1985/86, even you younger ones, cause I had so many friends w/lil' brothers and sisters,You all made such a tremendous impact on my life and I willcarry ya'll in my hearts til this life passes and then ... ft, the school had put together video collage of pictures set to the music of Michael W. Smiths, ...Friends are Friends Forever. All the time when I'm feeling alone or down, I here that song in my head and see the faces and it lifts my spirits. That scene has helped me thru a lotta troublesome times guys and gals. It meant so much, because I really believed those words in this group of people, and ya know to this day I still do. If you are reading this and you were there and you knew "LERCH". Then I would be so pleased and excited ta hear from ya...It'd definitely make my day. Cause one thing I feel sure about when it comes to the NAI Eagles of 85/86...Truly Friends are Friends Forever, I Love You Guys Paul Wiggington (LERCH) 0 Fror the longest time, blowing off steam always involved consuming alcohol. I still blow off steam in much the same way; I still go fishing, still go with family and friends on a lot of weekends out to the lake ,swim, BBQ, eat watermelon, play with all the kids , throw horseshoes, throw a football, listen to the college football games on the radio, and sometimes even sing a little karaoke. I just no longer drink alcohol when I do. Other times ,blowin off steam for me may be me takin a bicycle ride, or read a book. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have sleep, juice or coffee, and somethin ta eat to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
