Paula's Story

Life I am still living and working in the Tri-State area. I have been married for 26 years to a great guy and we have a son who is 23 years old. I enjoy walking my 2 year old Husky --Sasha, who helps to keep my on my toes and we also have an 18 year old Husky--Bandit, who we pamper just like our son. I attend church in Chesapeake and sing in the choir, some Sundays, you can find me signing the songs and service. Workplace Signing is the game and moving my hands make the money. For 14 years, I worked as an Educational Interpreter, ...Expand for more
signing everything from Auto Body to Wood Shop. I even had to do the homework to help the students understand a lot of the concepts. At the present time you will find me at a local Mental Hospital, not as a patient, but as an Interpreter. I find that this is more of a challenge than the classroom----I have learned to duck when chairs and fists are flying. At Ohio University Southern Campus, I instrut classes in Sign Language for the Community College, and have also taught Sign Langauge at King's Daughters Medicial Center, in Ashland,KY.
