Paula's Story
I have three children, 2 girls and a boy. I also have two step-children and all together they have given me 14 grandchildren. I was married for 20 years and widowed in 2000. Life is what it is. My children are some pretty terrific people. They don't rule my life, but they do define the person I am. Without the parents I had, I wouldn't be the parent I AM.
Lost Mom in 1991 and Dad in 2003. I miss them every day, but thank God for their love and influence. Hind-sight is always 20/20. ve. As for my Mother, well, if I am half the mother she was, then I count my life a success. She was kind, loving and always supportive. She was my best friend.
Now, my kids are the very essence of my existence. Watching their lives unfold and the choices they are making gives me nothing but pleasure and overwhelming emotion. To pass on such legacies....who knew that this is what my life would be. Certainly, not I. I'm not much on material goods. I strive to be kind to all, non-judgmental, a Christian at every turn. I'm not always successful at that, but I do try. I guess that is what makes us all humans.
Wow, this totally sounds like I'm writing a book. Hmm, not a bad idea!
