Paula's Story
I am married to James Brown, since 1979. We have 3 daughters. I became an LPN with all A's except one, which was a B. I missed being a straight A student by 2 points. Those of you who remember me from school would probably be shocked by that. I have lived in Ohio and Tennessee since I graduated from Berea High in 1979.
My last job was at the Northwestern Nursing Home in Berea, Ohio. I never thought I would like caring for the elderly, but it turned out that I loved it. I have been disabled now since 2001, due to complications of diabetes and other health issues.
In school my best friend was Cheryl Grant. I was also close friends with Chris Brown. I do not see anyone that I went to school with, as I have lost touch with all of my classmates. My family has been my priority since I got married. I hope that all of the people I went to school with are doing well.
I currently live in Parma, Ohio with my husband and youngest daughter Amber, 19. My other two daughters Angela, 25 and Christina, 22 live near Salem, Ohio. My daughter Christina is persuing a career in...Expand for more
early childhood education. She just received her Associates Degree in early childhood ed. May of 2008. She graduated with Honors.
I have 3 dogs. A rotty named Cherokee. A sharpei mix named Kita Sue. and their puppy Dipstick. I also own 2 birds. A cockateil named Sassybird and a parrot named Aztec.
My house has always had lots of kids around it. I have helped raise several other children. All of which I love and treated like they were my own. 2 of which were with me for at least 4 years. I have always tried to help others out, when they needed some place to stay or someone to care about them.
I am not sure how many of my old friends even think about me now and then. I know that I often wonder about all the kids that I went to school with. I rarely hear anything about any of them. In fact the only ones that I ever hear anything about is Cheryl Grant, Amy Frankenberry, Helen and Nancy Irvine (Dave Tropkoff and John Mullinax), Bill Hufsey, Chris Brown, and that is about it. The only person I really hear much about is Cheryl. She talks with my neice sometimes.
