PAULA's Story
Life
Although I didn't attend Lee, I had a lot of friends from John Gorrie who went to Lee. If any of you from Lee remember me from Gorrie,then I'm sure you remember how crazy I was. I think I was considered by many to be the "class clown". I also held that title at Lackawanna. When I started working, I simply went from "class clown" to "office clown". My fellow employees only kept me around for entertainment purposes.
After I graduated from Technical High in '63, I married and had a son the next year. I got a divorce in '73 and moved to Jonesboro, GA (south of Atlanta) in '74 and went to work in the aero engine field. I remarried in '88 and that ended in '93. I was in a committed relationship from 2000 until 2008.
My parents have passed away but I have sisters who still live in Jax and I vi...Expand for more

In '98, I found out that Tech High was having the first "all class" reunion. I went and met several classmates I hadn't seen since graduation. I was so happy to be reunited with them. I attended another "all class" reunion in 2001 and reunited with more classmates. We have stayed in contact with each other and whenever I make a trip to Jax, I always get in contact with them.
I am happy to say that I retired on Sep. 15, 2008 and I'm enjoying not having to get up early every morning. I don't miss having to get out in the cold or the rain and oh yes......the traffic.
I'd like to share a quote I read the other day......"If you haven't grown up by the time you're fifty, you don't have to". I'm so glad!
