Paula Sue's Story
Life
I'm a Registered Nurse. I retired as the Operating Room Nursing Director in a Toledo, Ohio hospital (February 28,2003). I'm Past President of the Findlay Strider's Running Club which has over 200 members. I've been married for 45 years and have two children, a son 44 and a daughter 41. Both are married. My daughter is an RN and has a son, 19 years old. My son is retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. He and his wife have twin girls, 14 years old. My husband retired as an accounting representative in the Treasury Department for an oil company. We both enjoy long distance running (we have run 33 marathons in 20 states, including the 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009 Boston Marathons), long distance boating (we have a 47' powerboat and have navigated all 5 Great Lakes as well as completed the Great Loop twice: 2010-2011 and 2014-...Expand for more
2015) and computing, when there is time.
College
Some of the best times in my life were had at Presbyterian Medical Center (Denver, CO). It was a socialization period for me (as well as an excellent educational experience) that shaped my destiny.
Workplace
I had an excellent experience in nursing that lasted 33 years (and continues today on a volunteer level as a Parish Nurse). I was able to explore my every interest to the fullest and finish my career in an exciting and fullfilling management opportunity.
