Paula's Story
Life
I was in school forever but I finally graduated from LSU (the last time) in 1997. I'm a clinical psychologist and have worked at Southeastern Louisiana University since 1998. Sean and I were married in 1999. We're "DINKs" - double income no kids. We live in Walker, LA with our 3 dogs and stay close to the 16 kids that call us aunt, uncle or "Seanpaula".
School
Uh uh, not spilling my biggest crush. I was a geek, and a good girl - my stories are tame like listening to 1999 over and over again bc it was Stacie and Margaret's favorite. I liked Mrs....Expand for more
Williams a lot but all of the teachers encouraged me.
College
I was at LSU from 1985 - 1997. I got my BS in psychology and my Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Yep, scary thought. I do research and treat primarily eating disorders.
Workplace
I am a professor of psychology at SLU - I know another scary thought. I might be teaching your kids. I was finally awarded tenure in 2006 (yeah me).... My husband has stories about that process. He hopes that it was the last professional hurdle as he's seen me through several. Somehow I think there may be more.
